Chad had the biggest heart for the ones who were suffering…especially homeless people. When he was in college and living very frugally, I witnessed an act of kindness that I will never forget. He and I were going into a store, when he stopped and pulled his wallet out of his pocket. He took out the last $2.00 he had and handed it to a man standing by the door (a man I hadn’t even noticed.) I said, “Sugar, you know that he may use that money for alcohol or drugs, don’t you? He said, “Mom, if he does, I had to do it anyway because he told me he was hungry.” My son taught me a valuable lesson that day. I believe he was acting like Jesus would under the circumstances. “Whatever you neglected to do unto one of these least of these, you neglected to do unto Me!”
I miss you so much! ❤️
